An invader from a foreign port?
Nope. Just the very-recognizable and graceful lines of a West Coast-style tug originally designed for long-distance, open-ocean towing on the Pacific. Nearing the end of a 2-week round trip, Crowley Maritime’s 34-year-old Invader-class tug Monitor motors past Philadelphia’s Pier #40…..
…..inbound on the Delaware River for the Petty Island Terminal. It’s a long haul back from San Juan.
