Winter isn’t over yet! Astronomical spring in the northern hemisphere occurs on March 20th this year, but meteorological spring is always variable: snow storms in April aren’t unheard of in the northeast, so don’t put the salt, shovels and winter clothing away just yet. This photo, taken at the mouth of Brooklyn’s Gowanus Canal, is of the opening salvo of the Snowpocalypse that struck on February 9-11th.
